We took the opportunity for a quick run into “town” mid morning to get up to date with the construction work that is happening at PVschool (www.pvschool.in). We took the easy and fast way – the nice and comfortable Amar Jyoti Vihar vehicle. As we were ‘zooming’ past all those other moving transport means (bicycle rickshaws, pedestrians, motor rickshaws, bullock carts, bicycles and motor bikes, trucks and cars) we came across a new addition to the transport system of Bodhgaya – the e-rickshaw!
Once we arrived at the PV school we were welcomed by the teachers, students and of course Sr Shobha and Sr Anicia.
I had brought three (heavy !) rolls of posters with me in the hope that these posters (many depicting images of the German landscape) and science posters from the German and Science department of St Aidan’s AGS, Brisbane would inspire PV students and trigger their imagination.
The sisters then took us on a tour around the school. I am so very excited about the new building, the big class rooms for the lower and Kindergarten classes and the upstairs area which holds a little apartment for the two sisters who run our school.
For some very strange reason I need to turn every image which takes a very long time – so please either turn your head or the computer or have a look at the photo folder I’ve created on https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bodhgaya-Development-Association/232170313509366
