When I am not in India, engaging in the various social justice projects that the Bodhgaya Development Association is involved with, I teach German at primary and high school and also at the University of Queensland’s Institute of Modern Languages (among other things…). Two of the 12 people who accompanied me to India recently, Sharon and Julie, have been studying German with me for three years. Sharon, an amazing photographer, has put together this presentation for our German class last night.
It had been my intention to create personal, deep connections between those of us coming from Australia and those community members living in India. I feel that a little step on this journey of inter-connectedness may have been achieved…or at least is on the right track.
