Pragati Sewing Centre – the beautiful life cycle of sewing machines

The BDA  has been supporting the Pragati Sewing Centre for over 7 years, manovouring the numerous obstacles this wonderful women’s empowerment project is able to accomplish under the guidance of Priye Dwyer (from Dwyer Foundation) , Sr Shobha and Pushpa Kumari and of course the energetic and passionate woman who runs the centre, Sangheeta.

These latest photos and video clip was shared with us yesterday where these trusted and hardy sewing machines repaired several of them, taking them back to the ladies for more sewing production of masks, dusters for blackboards for our Prajna Vihar School and clothing items.

Project Updates: October- December 2021 – BDA newsupdate

At the beginning of December, we’d sent out a brief update via mailchimp that included some Christmas gift ideas. Most of these gift ideas are not Chrissy-specific though. Please enjoy reading this update for the BDA projects from October- December 2021 and spread the word … our very small grassgroots organisation relies entirely on the generous support by individuals like you, who are inspired by what can happen when seeds are planted and the wonderful song lyrics by Kev Carmody & Paul Kelly “From little things big things grow” come to be.
